Improving
Effectiveness of Viagra®
Ongoing
clinical research with Viagra has shown that approximately 25% of
men do not achieve a satisfactory response during their initial
trial with the medication.
Of this group, at least 60% can have a successful experience with
a few adjustments in therapy.
Here are some tips:
| 1. |
Use the 100 mg dose for at least 6 to 8 attempts. Improvements
in circulation may not be evident with fewer attempts. |
| 2. |
Avoidance of alcohol and tobacco products for at least 6 hours
prior to taking the Viagra® medication. |
| 3. |
Avoid a high fat meal and ideally wait 3 to 4 hours after
a meal before using Viagra®. Absorption from the GI tract
is much improved with this adjustment. |
| 4. |
Cut the 100 mg pill in half and then take both halves. There
is a protective coating around the active medication, and by
cutting the pill, absorption is improved. |
| 5. |
Make sure there is adequate sexual stimulation. Ideally begin
the stimulation about 1 hour after taking the medication. |
| 6. |
Make sure that other medical problems, especially diabetes
and high blood pressure are well controlled. |
